Some of the many mediums that Rakhi use are pencil, ink, oils, metal, acrylics and black and photography to recreate a dream or vision that is in her mind.
Ever since I was little, I have always had images running in my head… and one day I wanted to show people how I saw the world. The term “fantasy art” is different for every person. My work relies on the realm of the imagination. Fantasy art to me is the altered side of what is real. My work tends to focus on intense moments in life. Mythical images are incorporated in my work as a way to explore not only the world around me, but the events that affect me, my life and my community. I usually work in different mediums that are appropriate to the message that I am trying to convey.
As an emerging artist, my pieces are a personal journey, dedicated to the events that have brought me here today. With this project, my vision is to be a channel and have creativity flow through; as Art is my voice, it is my personal quest to reunite art and the spirit.
