Christopher-Aaron's Arts on Chicago Project »
Christopher-Aaron creates images that challenge the perception of what is presented through examining urban abstract lines and ambiguous imagery. Christopher uses his work to examine the way we view things through what we understand on the surface of our society and the revelation of a spiritual hierarchy and educational authority. His goal is to create conversations and environments that will challenge perception and thoughts of otherwise undefined assumptions.

The Image
Christopher-Aaron creates images that challenge the perception of what is presented through examining urban abstract lines and ambiguous imagery. Christopher uses his work to examine the way we view things through what we understand on the surface of our society and the revelation of a spiritual hierarchy and educational authority. His goal is to create conversations and environments that will challenge perception and thoughts of otherwise undefined assumptions.
The Process
Rice entered the gesso of his canvases as a medium “representing stability that exist in reality of many cultures of the world. “ Christopher-Aaron explains, “No matter how poor or how wealthy people I met, no matter the race or place…people consume rice.” Rice is used in the gesso of each canvas.
Christopher has also begun to create wood panels that he uses to paint on. These surfaces have promised the most striking and deliberate images to function for commanding attention and dynamic presence.
My hope is that people are moved by the images that I create and they leave critically-thinking and discussing those images.
