Chicago Avenue Stilting Club Meet the artist: Masanari Kawahara
Masanari Kawahara and friends have created 30 pairs of stilts which are housed at Pillsbury House + Theatre to be used for future youth stilters.
Masa is also leading a series of stilting workshops with kids from Pillsbury House’s youth programs as well as neighborhood youth. At the end of May, 2013, the kids showed off their stilting skills at an informal neighborhood performance.
