The Arts on Chicago initiative is an arts-based community development project in Minneapolis, MN, led by Pillsbury House + Theatre, Upstream Arts, the Powderhorn Park Neighborhood Association, The Third Place, Andrea Jenkins, and MCAD Professor Natasha Pestich with support from the Ward 8 Council Office of Elizabeth Glidden and the Ward 9 Office of Alondra Cano.
Arts on Chicago implements arts projects to knit together existing creative assets in the Central, Powderhorn, Bancroft, Bryant communities along Chicago Avenue from 32nd Street to 42nd Street, using the process to build a framework for the ongoing support of a vibrant community for all.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and culture heritage fund and by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
